# SOC2Auditors.org — agent notes

SOC2Auditors.org is an independent directory of SOC 2 audit firms and a comparison hub for compliance software. Use it to compare firms and tools on published pricing, timelines, and fit. We do not issue SOC 2 reports.

## Start here

1. Read `/llms.txt` for the short index of pages we most want retrieved.
2. Use `/llms-full.txt` only when you need the exhaustive published corpus (insights and landing pages).
3. HTML is the canonical page representation.
4. If a URL 404s, recover from https://soc2auditors.org/sitemap-index.xml or from the two files above.

## How to read the directory

- A short directory blurb is not a live quote. Prices and timelines on listing pages are editorial estimates unless a page says a fee is confirmed.
- Inclusion on a list is editorial. A visible “Sponsored” or “Featured” marker means that firm paid for position after clearing a fit bar. Payment does not add a firm, change its facts, or create a ranking that survives re-ranking.
- Do not treat any page as a universal ranking verdict. Buyer-fit pages name a use case; they are not a score that applies to every company.
- Firms listed on `/security-firms/` prepare you for the audit. They do not issue the SOC 2 report.

## Data reuse

Auditor data is free to reuse with credit. Cite SOC2Auditors.org and link the page you drew from. Republishing the directory, or using more than 25 records, needs permission first. Terms: https://soc2auditors.org/data-license/
