Where compliance buyers find the firms that get them audit-ready.
35 readiness, pentest, vCISO, and compliance firms listed alongside SOC 2 auditors, all in one independent directory. Around 11,000 in-market buyers a month across Google, Bing, AI channels, and direct. Flat fee. No referral cut. We take no part of any engagement.
*120,000 is a floor confirmed 2026-06-22 from Bing Webmaster Tools, AI Performance. Microsoft Copilot + partners is the only AI engine that publishes a citation count. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude almost certainly cite this directory more but share no data.
Service firms and auditors are separate datasets, by design.
Service firms here do not sign SOC 2 reports.
Auditors who issue SOC 2 reports (the CPA firms that perform the attest engagement) are listed separately at soc2auditors.org/for-auditors/ and kept in a distinct dataset. The firms on this page do readiness, security testing, vCISO work, ISO-27001 consulting, and related services. They help clients prepare for a SOC 2 audit. They do not conduct the audit.
That distinction tracks the AICPA independence boundary. Under ET 1.297, a firm that designs or implements the controls being tested generally cannot also be the independent firm that attests to those controls. Readiness and consulting work (advisory only, under the ET 1.295.040 four-part safeguard) is permissible; but the audit and the readiness engagement are best kept separate. We reflect that by keeping the two firm pools separate.
A listing here carries no conflict with any SOC 2 auditor who later signs your client's report. The two datasets never mix.
Three tiers. Start free, upgrade when you're ready.
A buyer researching SOC 2 compliance sees your firm at the moment they're shopping for help. That timing matters more than most channels. The fee covers your listing and placement. Nothing else changes hands.
Default billing: annual (2 months free). Monthly billing available on request at the rates shown.
Free
Your firm in the directory, at no cost. Verified listing with your services, specialties, and contact. Buyers find you through search and AI.
- Directory listing with services, specialties, and location.
- Verified badge once we confirm your firm and services.
- Indexed by search engines and visible to AI crawlers.
- Control your listing: request corrections anytime.
Pro Most Popular
Enhanced profile, preferred placement, and a monthly report. Pro is the right tier for firms that want to stand out in their category without sole-sponsor commitment.
- Everything in Listed.
- Pro badge on your profile and in category listings.
- Preferred placement within your primary service category, above unverified and unlisted entries.
- Profile written and maintained by us: differentiator, specialties, and best-for copy, refreshed quarterly.
- Monthly report: page views, citation appearances, and ranking movement in your category.
- A second service category at +$300/mo per extra category.
Category Sponsor
Sole top-of-category placement. One firm per category. Done-for-you: we write and maintain your profile, and you're the first firm buyers see in your category.
- Everything in Pro.
- Sole sponsor of your category. One firm, no sharing. 1 sponsor per category hub.
- First position in every listing and category hub page for your service.
- Done-for-you profile: written, maintained, and kept current by us, not by you.
- Category Sponsor badge, clearly labeled as a sponsored placement.
- Quarterly strategy review: category trends, buyer search patterns, and profile optimizations.
A badge is a badge, not a rank. Payment never changes fit.
Ordering in this directory is payment-blind. Within a service category, listed order is verified-first, then alphabetical. Pro and Category Sponsor firms earn preferred placement by maintaining a complete, verified profile β the same quality signals available to any listed firm. A Sponsor firm sits first in its category because it is the sole sponsor and maintains a done-for-you profile; that is a labeled position, not a hidden ranking boost.
We never take a cut of any engagement between a buyer and a service firm. The fee pays for a listing and a placement. Whether you close zero clients or fifty, our revenue is the same. There is no per-introduction fee, no percentage of your contract, and no referral arrangement of any kind.
Sponsor and Pro placements are labeled on the page ("Sponsored" / "Pro"). A buyer always knows who paid for enhanced placement. An unlabeled listing is a listing we have not sold.
Common questions.
Who lists here versus on the auditor side?
The auditor side (soc2auditors.org/for-auditors/) is for CPA firms that perform the SOC 2 attest engagement and sign the report. Those firms appear in auditors.json and in the main directory.
This page is for service firms: readiness consultants, penetration testing firms, vCISO providers, ISO-27001 advisors, and compliance platforms. You help clients get ready for an audit. You do not conduct the audit or sign the report. The two datasets are separate and never cross-listed.
What does "Pro" or "Category Sponsor" placement actually do?
Pro placement puts your firm ahead of unverified and basic listings within your primary service category and adds a Pro badge. Your profile is written and maintained by us, so it stays current without requiring your time each quarter. You also receive a monthly report showing citation appearances, page views, and ranking movement.
Category Sponsor is sole top-of-category: you are the first listing buyers see in your service hub, clearly labeled as the sponsor. One firm per category, done-for-you profile, quarterly strategy review.
Neither tier guarantees a number of inquiries, introductions, or clients. This is directory placement, not lead generation. The fee is fixed whether zero buyers or fifty contact you through the listing.
What Pro and Sponsor do NOT mean.
A Pro or Sponsor listing is not a guarantee of inbound leads, a number of client introductions, or a business outcome. We do not route buyer inquiries to service firms the way we match buyers with auditors. Being in the directory puts you in front of buyers who are researching compliance; it does not guarantee they reach out.
Placement does not mean editorial endorsement. A Sponsor badge means a firm paid for sole top-of-category placement. It does not mean we reviewed their work quality or recommend them over others. Buyers choose based on the profile.
What is the AICPA independence boundary, and why does it matter here?
The AICPA's independence rules (ET 1.297) say that a CPA firm performing an attest engagement (signing a SOC 2 report) must be independent of the client. A firm that designed or implemented the controls being tested, or that operated those controls, generally cannot also be the independent attester. This is what separates the "auditor" role from the "service firm" role.
Advisory-only work can be permissible for auditors under ET 1.295.040's four-part safeguard, but the safest and most common arrangement is to keep the readiness and audit engagements with separate firms. We reflect that by listing auditors and service firms separately and never cross-listing the same firm in both datasets.
A service firm listed here is not in any conflict with any auditor who later signs a mutual client's report. The two datasets are independent, and no listing here implies a referral relationship with any auditor.
Does payment change how my firm ranks or gets discovered?
Within a category, basic ordering is verified-first, then alphabetical. Pro and Sponsor firms appear with enhanced placement (Pro: preferred above basic listings; Sponsor: first position, labeled) because their profiles are more complete and they have purchased that placement explicitly.
Payment does not change how search engines or AI crawlers index your profile. Both paid and free listings are indexed. We do not pay for or manipulate search rankings on behalf of Pro or Sponsor firms. The placement benefit is within this directory, not in external search results.
Do you take a cut of my engagements?
No. The fee is for a listing and placement. We charge the same amount whether a buyer contacts you once or ten times, and whether you close zero contracts or many. There is no per-introduction fee, no percentage of your engagement value, and no referral arrangement. We are not party to any contract between you and a buyer.
Can I list in more than one service category?
Yes. The free Listed tier covers your primary category. On Pro, a second (or additional) category costs +$300/mo per extra category. Category Sponsor covers one category only; if you want to sponsor a second category, that is a separate Sponsor agreement at the same rate.
What if the Category Sponsor slot in my category is taken?
Each category has one Sponsor slot (1 firm per category hub). If the slot is taken, you can claim a Pro listing and join a waitlist. We will notify you when the slot opens. We track availability honestly and close a slot the moment it sells.
How does annual billing work?
Default billing is annual, which gives you 2 months free compared to paying month-to-month. Pro is $600/mo, billed annually at $6,000/year (you pay for 10 months). Category Sponsor is $1,500/mo, billed annually at $15,000/year. Monthly billing is available on request at the monthly rates shown. There is no long-term contract for Pro; cancel any quarter.
