Refund Policy

Full refund within 7 days if the package isn't useful. No questions asked. Liability for the package is capped at the amount you paid; see the Terms of Service for details.

Plain-English summary

If you're not happy with your soc2zip package, email us within 7 days of delivery and we'll refund the full amount, no questions asked. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion and we'll work something out fairly.

What you bought

A soc2zip package: a one-time SOC 2 readiness package assembled from your inputs, reviewed by a human, and emailed to you as an attachment.

When you can ask for a refund

Within 7 days of delivery

"Delivery" means the day we email your package to you. You may request a full refund for any reason or no reason. Email hello@soc2auditors.org from the email address you used at checkout. We'll process the refund within 5 business days back to your original payment method.

After 7 days

Refunds are at our discretion. We are pragmatic about this: if we made a real mistake (a section is missing, a control is wrong, the package didn't generate properly), we'll refund or re-deliver. If you've already used the package in your audit, refunds are unlikely.

At any time, if we made a material error

If we shipped you the wrong package, the package failed to generate, or a critical artifact (CAIQ Lite, evidence index, policies) is missing or corrupted, contact us and we will either re-deliver or refund, your choice.

What happens when you get a refund

Refund amount is whatever you paid (the package price plus any add-ons). Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Stripe processing takes 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.

When we refund you:

  • You may keep any copy of the package already in your inbox, but the contract that authorized your use of those documents ends on refund. You should not continue to use them in a SOC 2 audit or share them with third parties.

What is not refundable

  • Any portion of a package that you've already submitted to an auditor, customer, or regulator before requesting the refund.

Chargebacks

Please email us before disputing the charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund and ties up our time. We've never refused a same-week refund, and we won't start with you.
